Pandemic Worship Resources

If you would like to worship with us through livestream, please check out First Lutheran’s and Waverly Lutheran’s Facebook pages! Both congregations livestream their worship services regularly.

If you do not feel comfortable joining us for indoor, in-person worship services, we will be offering Drive Through Communion twice a month, starting in September 2021, on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month. Drive Through Communion will be available at Trinity Lutheran in Welcome, and Waverly Lutheran in rural Trimont, from approximately 11:30 until 12:30 pm on those Sundays.

As First Lutheran and Waverly Lutheran alternate worship times, the pastor leading those services may have to drive back from First to Waverly after the 10:30 service in order to distribute communion there on some Sundays. Thank you for your patience!

And of course, all are welcome at the Lord’s table! You do not have to be Lutheran, or a member of any particular congregation, to join us for communion.

In Person Worship Pandemic Measures

On August 24, 2021, the Parish Council of Circle of Faith agreed to the following measures to be taken in light of the spread of the Delta variant of the Covid-19 virus, in order to protect the most vulnerable among us.

When the CDC rates Martin County Minnesota at a “Substantial” level of spread (as documented here), we will ask those attending worship in person to wear masks.

When the CDC rates Martin County at a “High” level of spread, we will take the following measures: those attending worship in person will wear masks, social distancing between households will be encouraged, we will sing 2 hymns instead of 3 during the service to reduce aerosol transmissions, and coffee hour or post-worship conversation will move outside.

We will continue to receive the communion elements and the offering as we leave worship until no longer deemed necessary. We also understand that as the scientific community’s understanding of the Delta variant changes, or as the pandemic itself changes, we may need to make changes to these policies. All we do, we do to protect the most vulnerable among us, as Christ calls us to do.
