Our History

In 2001, St Peter Lutheran Church of Ceylon, MN and Trinity Lutheran Church of Welcome, MN voted to establish a two point parish. The first pastor of the joint parish was Rev. Jackie Ziemer, who had grown up in the area, and she served until 2007. Jenelle Cunning was hired as an Associate in Ministry from 2005-2007. Rev. Scott Nagel served the parish from 2008-2009. Rev. Bruce Falksen began his ministry in the parish in 2010.

In 2014, Waverly Lutheran Church of rural Trimont, MN voted to join the joint parish of St Peter and Trinity, and the three named themselves the Circle of Faith. Rev. Anthony Christoffels came to serve the congregation, and Rev. Eric Midthun joined the parish as a part time associate pastor who was focused on visitation. Rev. Midthun retired in 2020.

In January of 2021, First Lutheran Church of Trimont, MN agreed to join Circle of Faith on an interim basis, and in July of that year, they voted to join the joint parish permanently.
